I am a size 5 in pants and got a Medium.When it arrived it was TINY like the size of my hand but oh boy does it stretch! This pair of underwear, although stretched, did not cut off my thigh circulation nor did they ride up. And I have that wedgy problem any girl with a larger butt has… but it totally kept me covered and relatively comfortable!It was not uncomfortable but I did notice I was wearing them a lot which in my book gives them a 7/10 comfort wise.You can see the lining when wearing them with leggings as seen in my photo but I mainly wear them with sweatpants so it’s all good - also who cares if someone can see the lining? It’s not a secret that girls wear underwear!Running: I just came back from about a mile run in them and they didn’t ride up or curl up at all! Still comfortable and good. I will say that the very bottom will fold up a bit during daily wear but not a lot and nothing too noticeable. It does NOT get bunchy in the inner thigh area which I was delighted by.Overall look: as you can see it doesn’t provide much in terms of shaping nor is it particularly fancy or anything but it did allow me to live my anime boyfriend dream boxer shorts life haha so I’d say get them!UPDATE: January 21, 2021** * Five years ago I wrote the original review and I am STILL wearing these wonderful boy shorts EVERY SINGLE DAY!***What worries me is they are becoming harder to find. Amazon is the only place that I can find this particular short. Kohl's used to carry them, but not any longer.***I came on Amazon today to buy more. Throughout the past five years, I continually check Amazon' s prices. Today I found certain colors at a fantastic price so I ordered a dozen pair. Yup, a dozen. That is how much I love these and how afraid that I won't find them someday.***Since my original review, In have lost weight.***My new measurements are: 138 pounds, 28" waist and 37" hips, 28" waist or size 6 jeans. I am wearing some boy shorts that I have had for years!! (they are too big, but are in great shape!) ;) They take forever to wear out! They do start to pill and a few pairs have unraveled at the hems, but not bad, and that is after a LOT of wear!***I stand by my original review.***This is the ONLY panty that I own!***These are SO COMFORTABLE!***They don't roll on the legs or the waist!*** Make sure to buy your appropriate size. I am throwing away the first pairs I bought years ago. They still fit, they don't ride up, BUT the seams are unraveling and I have trimmed off as much as possible! Only Maidenform- boyshort.** The last time I purchased these on Amazon (I bought 5 pair) was a year ago, and I am SHOCKED at the price now! I just feel the band and when I feel the 3 heavy sewn lines, I know that they are my Maidenform GENIUS panties.*I have NO IDEA why those three lines are sewn on the Genius boy shorts as none of my other Maidenform undies have this.Everything fit great! a little sheer but expected :) comfy for sleepingSo I’ve never tried boy shorts before but as I age and my butt isn’t perky like I used to be I read that boy shorts would be more flattering. I purchased the navy in size 7 which is my size briefs now. I wear a 10/12 in pants, 4’11 and 155 pounds. I’m apple shaped so my bottom half is smaller and my belly is fuller. I find these very comfy. They do stay higher in my thigh area but not uncomfortably so, doesn’t move on my waist which is surprising since everything rolls down my belly. The blue is a thicker material, no lining but it still feels comfortable to me. I will order more of these in blue as it seems the colors have some variation according to the reviews. I would say if you have a fuller bottom snd thighs size up as they are stretchy but do have a bit of compression compared to my regular undies.I have been on the hunt for the perfect boyshort because all my life every single pair of underwear I try ends up all bunched and gathered up in my crack from any slight movement. I switched to thongs for this reason because I figured if they are going to bunch up my crack I might as well have it there to begin with. I'm not of fan of the thongs either so I'm on to the boyshorts. These will work but they have to be made just right or they will end up in your crack as well. These run very small and super tight around my thighs. I went by the size chart and I normally am a small in underwear and they were very tight. I got the small and I'm 5'2, 132 lbs 36" hip and 32" waist. I really feel these will be the winning pair if I can get the right size! They have a silky feel so they won't stick to your clothes and roll places, the waist isn't too high to protrude out of your pants, it's like mid rise I guess, and the legs are just long enough so they won't end up in your crack. I will be ordering the large and see how these fit.They were no longer available in stores, so I was excited when I found them on Amazon. They're stretchy, comfortable and give just the right amount of support. I have them in the black color, and they're not see-through.I purchased these to wear under a dress. They aren't no show. You can clearly see the lines under a dress or leggings. They do ride up and the material on the thing roll. I guess I'm keeping them though.Buying clothing online is always a gamble. If I had the opportunity to see these in person and actually touch the material, I would not have made this purchase. The material is scratchy and uncomfortable, more like cheap sweat shorts than panties. There are a lot nicer options for cheaper. At least they fit true to size.The stitches around the waist fell apart after 2 weeksNever in my life I've seen this before. It happened to 2 of them , very disappointed ?.
