* Assembly was relatively easy, though it does require two people to wrangle the bulky pieces, and a decent amount of open floor space in which to work. All the hardware necessary for assembly is included, but you will have to provide your own tools. The assembly instructions could definitely be better written, but they're not the worst I've ever seen.* As others have noted, South Shore does not provide any hardware to attach the assembled headboard to a bed frame, so you will need to provide that yourself. I have no idea what size bolt you need, and the instructions do not tell you, as far as I could see (again, instructions could be much better written). We just rooted around in our collection of random bits of hardware until we found two bolts that were long enough (actually, they're a bit too long), and some washers and nuts to fit them. Good luck!* Also as others have noted, this headboard is VERY flimsy once you do manage to attach it to a bed frame. The problem is that the point of attachment is way at the bottom crossbeam, and in order to stop the wobble, this thing needs to be secured somehow at the middle crossbeam. I attached this headboard to a metal bed frame, so I don't know how secure this would be when attached to the wooden bed frame that South Shore sells to match this piece, but I suspect it wouldn't be any better, since the headboard would still attach to the frame at the same point.If you've got your bed shoved right up against the wall, and then shove your mattress right up against the headboard, you might not notice the wobble much, but give this headboard an inch on either side, and it'll take a mile, as far as wobbling goes.I ordered this item after reading lots of reviews on it, so I knew exactly what I was getting into. Because I do not have my bed against a wall, I wanted a cheap headboard to keep my pillows from falling off the back of my bed. I'm mitigating the wobbling by having the headboard shoved right up against the back of my dresser (which is behind the head of my bed), and my mattress shoved right against the headboard.I had enough Amazon gift certificates to cover the bulk of this purchase, which is why I got it. For a temporary fix, and under the right circumstances, it's perfectly adequate. It does look pretty good... it's just that it's definitely a case of fashion over function.
