Great price and valueMy sister hit upon this oil many years ago as an air freshener for our relative while in the hospital then nursing home for many, many weeks. As it was a severe bowel operation with month's long recovery, we needed to be able to cope with all the nauseating smells. Take two of those plastic pill cups, put a hole in the top one, tape them together with peppermint oil in the bottom cup, and a wick of cotton gauze pulled slightly through the top (cut) cup and then you have an air freshener that will not sicken any one allergic to or who suffer asthma from artificial air fresheners or sprays. We did have to hang real candy canes on the outside of the nursing home door repeatedly as the other patients kept taking them to eat. Seems as they would just continuously roam the halls looking for food all day and all night and take anything not locked, and sometimes would clear out left over food. Sad that! So we just kept hanging up more small candy canes and dropped several boxes off at the front desk and the nurses desk too. They seemed to appreciate the extra stash. When going to visit a doctor's office with our relative my sister will just dab some peppermint oil on her so it follows her and scents the air around her. It does help to dispel that 'medical' scent in the waiting room and in hospital exam rooms too.3-4 drops of this in a glass with Southern Comfort with crushed ice and you have a very good Mint Julip. A really great Summer drink.I don't find this flavor overpowering as others do, but I like a strong mint flavor. This has 88% alchohol. You can definitely taste the spearmint and the peppermint, so if you dislike one or the other you might opt for just peppermint or just spearmint. I find that I went through this bottle very fast but again that is because I use a LOT of it and I put it in everything from smoothies to tea and baked goods. I will be looking for a bigger container or at least a double pack.Does a good job making a minty taste that doesn't taste fake!I LOVE this in my coffee! The Watkins mint extract is just wonderful. It tastes fresh, without any medicine-like aftertaste.A little goes a long way! Just a few drops will flavor almost anything. We use it in hot tea, iced tea, and for making making chocolate mint cookies. I even put some in sparking water for a refreshing drink. The best use in our house is making mint juleps! It is MUCH better for you than the sugary mint syrups, and cheaper too. Here's our recipe: Shot of bourbon, water to taste, a few drops of the Watkins mint extract, and some Splenda. Stir and add ice!I have smoothies of one kind or another (veggies, protein, or chocolate-peanut butter.) Adding the mint flavor, especially to a blueberry, chocolate chip shake is really yummy. In fact, I add it to all my shakes (except veggies), at least once a week for a cool-down treat during our Arizona summers. Yum-o-rama
