I own 4 of these & just replaced my white one. I live at the beach and workout a lot. I don’t like to be hot and don’t need to expose a bunch of my fair skin. I wear my fitted running shorts (with phone pocket) under this tunic, with a sports bra. I stay cool, cute & covered without being “covered up”. A fit note: I’m a size 8, sometimes a 6 but I buy this in a 10 to accommodate a full bust. A perfect fit! It breathes well too.Purchased Size: 6/35". Since they go by chest measurements, I'll mention that I'm a small 34B, typically purchase XS or S women's tops at most major chain mall stores, and this shirt fit as expected/desired, slightly loose with some room in case the top shrunk when washed.Length: On 5'3" - mid upper thigh/covers backside nicely/to fingertip length. Reasonably modest with leggings or as a swim coverup IMO.I've washed on cold & dried in a dryer three times and didn't notice major shrinking, though I did purchase it slightly larger than I could have. Does wrinkle (expected for the material though).Color: Blue. It's a bit lighter/brighter in person than the darkish blue shown in the photo, but very pretty.Used for: beach coverup. I burn easily but 90% of the cute "swim coverups" that AREN'T $90 don't work for me because they are sheer, short, have no sleeves, are low cut tops, or made of synthetic materials that aren't breathable on hot, humid days.Maybe I'm picky, but what I needed was something that had long sleeves, not too low cut, covers shoulders and chest well, light weight, breathable material; covers top of thighs that tend to get sunburned; not too expensive because my tastes change and I'd rather have a couple on hand; and because I'm slightly vain - cute/has some nice details :)This checked all those boxes and worked perfectly on a week-long beach trip. While it's NOT intended/sold as beach coverup, it covered well enough that I could wear it (with sunblock underneath) and not get burned, felt cool and breathable due to the lightweight cotton, and was very comfortable and cute.It DOES become somewhat sheer when wet, but not an issue for my purposes over a swimsuit anyway. Dries fairly quickly.Absorbed some salt water that left salt marks when dried - but washed up perfectly.I will likely purchase a second to have for a future trip, but may get one size larger for easier on/off over a swimsuit. And will probably wear it with leggings in the fall and winter as it's really comfortable and soft.I was originally rather miffed with my experience in obtaining a refund for a shirt I ordered that was exceptionally large for me. I had followed the instructions Ayurvastram posted regarding sizing, and was therefore surprised to receive an item that was very large for me, so large it ran past my knees! At the time of my refund request, I was offered the opportunity to have the tunic tailored for me but knew it wouldn't make sense with a garment so large. So I simply just wanted to return the item and obtain a refund, even if I had to pay shipping (<$3).When I received notice yesterday that my refund was processed and it showed that I was docked an additional $6+ dollars for no apparent reason, I was clearly displeased and inquired why that would be the case. Ayurvastram contacted me via email and telephone this morning (a Saturday, no less) to rectify the manner--an impressive response time indeed!Ayurvastram's representative that contacted me was very polite and apologetic about the issue and again extended the very gracious offer to create an entirely customized tunic if I so wished and could submit the required measurements. I also received notification today that Ayurvastram had refunded the docked amount in addition to my shipping costs.Although I declined their offer for a customized tunic, such good faith gestures deserve to be recognized. I will be happy to recommend Ayurvastram to my friends and family for their exceptional customer service.*TIP: If you have a larger bust like me, I'd recommend messaging Ayurvastram before placing your order to get a better idea about the overall sizing of the garment.*This runs quite small. I usually wear a size 8 shirt, or sometimes a 10. I bought this in a 12 and it just fits. The only problem is that the sleeves are short by 1-2" which is surprising as usually garment sleeves are a bit too long for me as my arms are a little short. So they look a bit odd but I will probably just roll them up, or perhaps cut a bit off and hem them to make 3/4 length. I like that this is long enough to wear with tights. I hand-washed in cold water and hung to dry, and it still shrank a tiny bit, but except for the sleeves it's still fine. I'm fairly slim in the chest and shoulders, but if you are larger you might want to go up even more in sizing. I'm rather pear-shaped but the hips still fit fine. This is 100% cotton that absolutely will need ironing when it comes out of the dryer. Very thin, cool and airy, and somewhat see through. I purchased a white sleeveless undershirt to wear underneath. It is beautiful and what I needed. It runs small and long; it came below mid-thigh to me. I ordered the size 14 which has an inner tag that shows size 42. I am 5'1", wear a size 6-8 american sizes. 38C or 36D bra size. I read the reviews and decided to get a the larger size 14 then wash it in hot water & dry in the dryer with intention of shrink-to-fit to a size 12. This method worked well for me. I may have been ok with a 12, but then I would have had to air dry... etc to avoid shrinkage. I purposely wanted it loose fitting as I want to dress modestly while at the ashram. I am going to yoga teacher training in India and I know that I will need an all white Kurti & Chudidar leggings for graduation ceremony. Although I'm sure I may have been able to get this over there, I wanted to have it before I arrived.
