Took a few hours for my husband to assemble but not much harder than IKEA furniture. The bed is sturdy and I love how there’s a hole for a wire to come through for an alarm clock or charger in the bookcase. I just wish the drawers extended deeper into the bed and utilized all the under bed storage.I also dislike the knobs because the corners are sharp and can cut someone’s foot. The knobs are also hard to replace because there are two screws and the width is very specific and not a common knob to replace. I would have to drill new holes, fill the old holes and repaint in order to replace it with something safer.
