First off, the price per oz Amazon calculated on this stuff is wrong. At $13.95 and 4oz, that would make the price $3.25/oz not $.97 that Amazon states, so don't let the price per oz that Amazon puts be your deciding factor. This stuff worked to get over colds, but the taste is pretty terrible. I think it's the spirulina that it has that makes it gross.I also want to let you know that on the bottle it says "Not a significant source of Vit A, C, & others... I didn't get that. Possibly a mislabeling, but that is a pretty gross mislabeling since the point of Amla is supposed to be it's Vit C!Even mixed with honey, my son was not thrilled to take it and he will eat (and enjoy and ask for more of a lot of stuff that most people will not touch with a 10ft pole like), raw green smoothies, raw liver, raw kefir plain and fermented cod liver oil, so that will tell you! When he doesn't like stuff it's *really* bad. He actually said "No mom, you eat it!" I tasted it and confirmed. My poor baby!To get him over his cold I bought 3 or 4 brands of Amla, rose hip, and other natural Vit C mixes. We are transitioning from Emergen-C because my family had been taking it for years. Recently we all still got sick. My son was in preschool and my son had a runny nose for 3-4 months and it wouldn't go away, no matter all my tricks so I had to step it up. I added Lypospheric Vit C and still no improvement so I was doing research into more natural Vit C's and I bought this among some others to see what I liked best. The taste is so terrible that I wanted to get rid of this one first so and I ended up mixing other stuff with this one and powdered sucanat to make it palatable. The main ingredient was this stuff so I'm sure it was the main ingredient doing the trick. I had to give it to him 5 times per day (before and after meals and naps) for a week to give his body time to catch up with his apparent deficiency. I cut out raw dairy for a week or two and replaced it with home made Rose Hip tea as a beverage, and I stopped letting him eat the food at school. After 4 months of a runny nose, he is perfectly healthy despite preschool!I mix 1/8-1/4 teaspoon of this powder with raw coconut oil, and raw honey and we eat it from a spoon. I doubled the amount of raw honey for him and even put an extra blob on top so that he'd be enticed. (Spoonfulls of honey are a rare treat for him so it works perfectly.) With the mix I have now I can taste the powder and not be grossed out.Honestly I'd rather pay for a nasty mix and add my own sweetener. Even higher quality powdered sucanat is much cheaper than this stuff by the oz.If you are an adult you can swallow the blob whole with water like a huge flexible pill and bypass the grossness of swallowing a blob of oil.Minus total of 2 stars for taste and saying it had no Vit C, and $/oz mislabeling but if I had no choice, I'd buy it again as it does work...
